Judy M. Smith, age 76, of Lake City, MN died Thursday June 26, 2025, at the Lake City Care Center.

Judy was born June 27, 1948, in Durand.  She was the daughter of Willis and Margaret (Brunner) Poeschel and graduated from Durand High School. 

Judy worked as a bank teller for over 20 years in Rochester, MN.  She also worked at Mayo Clinic in Rochester in the Anatomy Department for several years.

Judy enjoyed doing home interior decorating, gardening, sewing, listening to music, and bird watching.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Kasandra Smith of Rochester, MN; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 AM Tuesday July 1, 2025, at Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand.  Burial will follow immediately at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery-Lima, rural Durand.

   To Judy's family--So sad to hear of her death. We were in high school together and my older brother helped her dad on the farm- so at times I rode home with her on the bus to stay with my brother and sister in law. Judy's dad and my sister's mom in law, Mary, were siblings.====== I will be at the Shriners Hospital so will be unable to attend the services. Rest in Peace, Judy.
